Tonight Martin, myself, Elatia, JR and his sister Alix, went to the Look Who's Kickin prenatal spa tonight and got to watch Kaliana for a 1/2 hour! We shoulda brought popcorn and candy for this movie premiere! The kids did bring the flip camera and I taped it all.
It was surreal to see Kaliana. She has hair, it looked like a wee mo-hawk like her daddy. She kept her hand in front of her face at first. Geez last time it was her legs we couldn't get her to move so we could find out if she was a girl or boy. We did see her lady bits this time no probs even though she had her legs crossed at her ankles. This time we just wanted to see that face of hers. Eventually she moved her arm so we could see her beautiful wee face. She has chubby lil cheeks already. Her thighs looked chubby too! We watched as she moved around, stuck her tongue out and even smiled! Yup! Kaliana gave us a smile! We have a picture of it. Hmmm wonder if her Uncle Andrew had anything to do with that.
At one point she did look like she had a zombie mouth! The umbilical cord was in front of her mouth and apparently they like to suck on it. I did not know that. Well, it definitely makes the mouth look like she had been eating brains or something!
We got to count her fingers and toes. Looks like she has her some pretty full lips too! The sonogram tech would push around Elatia's belly to get Kaliana change position, and we could see the belly movement on the screen, too funny. All of us are just so excited to meet her! It's definitely motivating me to get her room all ready for her and decorated! This baby girl is so loved!
So far, us and J.R.'s family are gelling and working together as a family to welcome in Kaliana which pleases me beyond belief. I want nothing more than all of us to be as one family for this little girl and I will do what it takes to make sure it happens!
I am one happy Grammy C tonight!
